WEBINAR: Near-Infrared Spectroscopy in the Management of Critical Limb Threatening Ischemia

Craig Walker, MD., and Jeffrey A. Niezgoda, MD., host this educational webinar introducing near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) imaging and an overview of how this novel technology can enhance the evaluation and management of patients presenting with critical limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). An expert faculty will explain NIRS, review the epidemiology of peripheral artery disease, discuss the clinical presentation of patients with CLTI, and will present recommendations for utilizing NIRS for patient assessment and management. NIRS provides noninvasive tissue oxygenation and vascular perfusion assessment to assist in the treatment of patients requiring endovascular intervention for improving distal lower extremity blood flow. Case presentations will be used to represent the critical decision steps and management algorithms used to achieve optimal outcomes in the care of these patients.

Webinar Objectives:

  • Pathogenesis of Arterial Vascular Disease

  • Near-infrared Spectroscopy

  • NIRS as a Clinical Assessment Tool

  • Case Presentations

  • Live Q&A and chat
