Reimbursement and Compliance Specialist

Responsible for Clinical Sales Support, Clinical Education and Clinical Reimbursement for Kent’s products. Will work closely with the sales team to provide support and training, especially with new users. Responsible for creating and implementing a training program including the training materials, presentations and other materials as needed that are required to train on product use. Will be able to deliver in-person and online training for the device. Will be required to acquire excellent product knowledge and keep up with advancements in the fields of application of Kent’s products. Will work closely with marketing to deliver engaging webinars and symposia to the target markets through the identification of educational topics, appropriately trained speakers, and presentation content review, and will support CME accreditation when required.

This role is responsible for leading Kent’s reimbursement strategy for all products. Will be required to work closely with consultants and other Kent team members to determine the overall strategic plan and then execute upon the plan. This will require building relationships with sites to ensure billing and coding is well understood.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaising with internal departments about product features and functionalities.

  • Memorizing product features and presenting their functionalities, using applicable medical terminology.

  • Conducting post-sale training sessions to individual product users, professional teams, or healthcare departments.

  • Maintaining existing customer networks and informing customers of upgrades or new product lines.

  • Analyzing competitor products and highlighting our unique product features in sales pitches.

  • Providing product and other related feedback received from customers during training sessions to Product Management to help improve the overall product.

  • Assist with obtaining Category I reimbursement for Kent Imaging products.

  • Managing compliance internally and for external partners

  • Pursuing reimbursement in various markets including defining studies required to support a billing code, liaising with the appropriate consultants and agencies to promote billing codes for Kent’s products.

  • Working directly with customer sites to ensure they are properly onboarded for billing and coding with Kent’s product line.

  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development/management in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Research

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE):

  • College degree preferred in related fields.

  • Certification in reimbursement and compliance.

  • Experience in obtaining reimbursement with AMA and CMS

  • Experience in Medical Devices and or Medical Sales compliance.

  • Experience in medical billing compliance.

  • History of payer interaction and management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.

  • Experience delivering training to a clinical audience. 

  • Experience obtaining reimbursement for medical devices in the USA market
