Supporting Wound Care Services through Remote Diagnostic Imaging

I hope that you continue to stay safe in this challenging environment, while you strive to provide on-going care for your wound patients.  We appreciate that these are unprecedented times, and Kent Imaging is focused on supporting you and your patients through the “new normal” which is anything but.

We understand that proper wound care is essential to preserving tissue and limbs and that “time is tissue.” We’re seeing proactive clinics adopting telehealth and remote diagnostic technologies to assist with wound triage to ensure patients are effectively prioritized for inpatient care.

In order to assist with this transition, Kent Imaging has refocused its resources to meet the demand from existing SnapshotNIR customers to release an update that remotely provides an informative assessment of the wound and vascular status.  Our partners have been instrumental in the development of this solution and continue to determine the best way SnapshotNIR can help them keep their patients out of the hospitals.

By embracing new methods of care including remote diagnostics to support triage decisions, providers can better understand wound progression remotely, providing appropriate referrals to those who need them, and protecting the health of patients who are unable to come to the hospital or are at high risk for COVID-19.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Kent Imaging to learn more. We have set-up a support center to provide online access to technical and clinical expertise to assist your staff with remote deployment and image assessment.

Your sincerely,

A Letter to Our Customers and Community

These are unprecedented times, with business, social, community and everyday routines experiencing controlled chaos in the face of Covid-19. We recognize that this is particularly true for everyone in the healthcare industry. You are the frontline, caring for and supporting those with the virus as well as those at highest risk. The ongoing global efforts of the healthcare industry are reminding us of the meaning of humanity: compassion and selflessness especially in the face of adversity.

At Kent Imaging, we have complied with Federal recommendations in our home country of Canada, as well as in the United States. We have staggered our in-house workforce and transitioned everyone to work remotely wherever possible. We remain fully operational at this time and our team is here to support you with your SnapshotNIR device. Our goal is to remain ready when called upon. Priority is being focused on those implementing SnapshotNIR in wound centers to prevent patients being moved to other departments for vascular assessment.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Cleaning your device is simple and should be done between each patient. The entire device has been designed using plastics that allow for multiple types of disinfectants. In our facility we use CaviWipes by Metrex however alcohol-based cleaners or hydrogen peroxide can be used. Sterile drapes are also available should the need present itself in order to prevent the spread of infections.

We are in this together and strive to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 in whatever way we can. On behalf of all of us at Kent Imaging, we hope you keep yourself, your families and all those in your care safe during this unprecedented time.

Healthcare workers exemplify humanity and it is truly appreciated.
